Diet as an intervention in autoimmune pre-disease

In this project we will investigate the influence of diet on the development of the autoimmune disease Systemic lupus erythematous in Lupus-prone mice (NZM2410/J and B6.NZMSle1/Sle2/Sle3). Through the course of the experiments, we will examine the development of disease under different dietary compositions and caloric intakes. Therefore, histological changes in the kidney, proteinuria, development of anti-nuclear antibodies, and the microbiome at different time points during the experiment will be conducted.
